Museums

The most important  museum of Benevento is Sannio’s Museum, prepared in the last abbey of S.Sofia: here you can find important recoveries of Sannio, roman and longobard era and a sequel of work of the centuries from XVI to XX; arms and objects found in various places of the territory apart from a massive presence of Egyptian fittings of Iside’s Temple “Lady of Benevento”. www.artsanniocampania.it

The contemporary art museum (ARCOS), unveiled on 25 June in 2005, is situated in the basement flat of Government Palace. Directed by the teacher Danilo Eccher apart from to own a permanent displaying, often organize thematic exposures with works of the important personalities of contemporary art. www.museoarcos.it

The MUSA (Museum of technical and work in agriculture), in Piano Cappelle road. Apart of reconstructions of a country house’s rooms, it’s mainly a exposure of machineries used during the history. www.musasannio.it
