CULTURAL EVENTS  

In this section you can find only the cultural events with fixed periodicity. Temporary exhibitions and other initiatives are enclosed in case of need. 

 “Città spettacolo” (in Benevento at the end of august/beginning of September) “Benevento Città Spettacolo” was borne in 1980 as festival of theater events strictly related with a theme, chosen every year by the Artistic Director, and represented in the most important theatres of Benevento in first national. During the years, exhibitions, cinematographic projections, musical performances, cultural meetings, laboratories, rounded tables, joined to the theater event and remarkably contribute to increase the already lively cultural ferment. On the occasion of the festival, are used many opened spaces of the historical centre and many angle of consolidated memory, discovered again and revaluated.

 “Universo teatro” (in Bevevento on October) The event is organized by the Municipality, with the cooperation of the University of Sannio and the acting company of Benevento “Solot” and it stage the university theatre centre’s works coming from all the world. Italian and foreign universities are chosen among much official adhesion to create a week of performances, meetings, workshops, free parties. 

“Sannio Film Fest” (in Sant’Agata de’ Goti on July). International Festival of Scenography and Custom. This year the exhibition will be for the first time dedicated prevalently to scenography under the direction and the arrangement of the scenographer Lorenzo Baraldi. Exhibition of important parts of sets, used for the realization of costumes films, and the realization ex novo of some important films’ set and than also projections, musical events, happenings in the narrow streets and palaces of the charming village.
